What counts as a check?

One successful call to the verify endpoint. Challenges are free, and failed verifications (expired, replay, invalid, wrong site, honeypot) do not count. Free covers 5,000 checks a month on 2 sites, Starter 50,000 on 10 sites, and Pro 500,000 on unlimited sites. Verify calls are limited per site to 100 a minute on Free, 1,000 on Starter and 3,000 on Pro.

What happens when I go over my plan?

You never get an extra bill, and your forms stay protected. I email you at 80 %, 100 % and 150 % of your limit. If you go over two months in a row, I email you that the next month is capped. In that month, verify answers 402 with reason "quota" above the limit. Your form still submits and your server decides what to do. The month after is normal again.

Does the free plan expire?

No. The free plan has no time limit and needs no card. No plan puts a badge or any branding on your forms.

Do prices include VAT? Do I get invoices?

Yes, VAT is included. Starter is €3 a month or €24 a year and Pro is €9 a month or €72 a year, everywhere. Link, a Stripe company, sells the plans as the merchant of record. Link takes the local VAT out of that price, and a business with a VAT ID pays the same number. Link stores your card and emails a receipt and an invoice for each payment. Your bank statement shows LINK.COM* Bot403.

Can I change plans?

Yes. Pick Starter or Pro in Settings. Move from Starter to Pro, switch between monthly and yearly, or go back to Free in the Stripe customer portal that Settings opens. If I raise prices, you keep yours while you stay subscribed. If I lower them, you get the lower price. Need more than 500,000 checks a month? Email me and I will set up a plan for you.

How do I cancel?

A paid plan renews automatically each month or each year until you cancel it. To cancel, open Settings, then Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Where is the data?

On one server at Contabo GmbH, Germany. Backups stay in the EU. Stripe and Link process your email and payment details in the US under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The script on your page sends visitor data only to Bot403 and sets no cookie.

How long do you keep data?

Verification records and statistics: 30 days on every plan. A record holds the time, the origin host, the difficulty and the result, never a visitor IP address. Request logs: 30 days, without IP addresses. Account data: deleted within 30 days after you close the account.

How hard is the puzzle? Does it use the visitor's IP address?

Each site has one fixed level: low, medium or high. A laptop solves them in about 0.02, 0.1 and 0.4 seconds. New sites start at medium, and on Free the level is always medium; Starter and Pro let you pick it. The level never depends on the IP address. Bot403 never stores or logs visitor IP addresses. The rate limits read the address for that request only.

What does the visitor notice?

Nothing. There is no puzzle to solve and nothing to click. The protection is invisible.
